The Yamarone Brothers "Skookum Cast" - How About That Video!?
Back in early May, I blogged about meeting up with Bobo, Slash, Zippy, Katy, Devin & the Dirty German (last 4 from SexRat) at the Nugget hotel/casino in Sparks, NV. We all made it over the Sierras in a storm to celebrate with Del Mar for the release of their new CD After The Quake.
We were going to get to play on the bill at the Del Mar CD Release Party - right before SexRat's set. It was a blast and thanks to Jimi Slash we have this wild video of our performance. Bobo rented a "sasquatch" costume and put on one of his best performances ever - Bud was psyched to join us on bongos - and the rest is YouTube history. ;-)
I'd like to thank the guys who've been backing the bigfoot songs and getting us recorded and on-stage the last 2 years...you know Bobo, so let me introduce Zippy and Half of Nothing Records.
Zippy (Zach Goodin) is the founder of Half of Nothing Records in Sacramento, CA as well as the lead guitarist, vocalist, songwriter for SexRat. Half of Nothing Records is home to several other independent bands including Del Mar, The Snobs, Dog Party and The Yamarone Brothers starring Tommy Yamarone.
Dog Party played that night near Reno and they are something else! Two sisters who write and perform their own songs. You'll be hearing from them for years to come.
