Bigfoot Times, May 2008 Released

The Bigfoot Times was just mailed out on the evening of Memorial Day, May 26th. There is extensive coverage of the Ohio Bigfoot conference as the editor spoke with Don Keating, M.K. Davis and Eric Altman shortly after the event. A phone call to Dr. Jeff Meldrum was not returned as we went to press. We were hoping for some firsthand words about his trip to China and the search for their version of Bigfoot, called the Yeren.

MonsterQuest ran a monster marathon today and I watched bits and pieces. They continue to tell a mostly naive television audience around the country they were examining the ORIGINAL Patterson-Gimlin film, when this was not the case. I am not sure if producer Doug Hajicek is careless, doesn't know, or just sees the sheer entertainment value of making such grandiose claims. As a note, the original P-G film was loaned out by the late Roger Patterson before his untimely death and never returned. Its whereabouts are still in question. Some have claimed they know the whereabouts of this footage but no one has been able to step up to the plate with confirmation about such claims.

Bigfoot Forums.com continues to be an excellent watering hole for Bigfoot information and I highly advise dropping in when time permits. I wish I had more time in the forums to engage in spirited discussions

Mike Rugg is planning another Bigfoot meet in August 2008 in Felton, California. Be prepared for the HOT weather.

We now have about 811 members to the Bigfoot Times, far beyond my wildest dreams. I suppose one day we will easily go over the 1000 mark. I just continue to plug away at it, trying to be unbiased all the way. Some of our more memorable discussions dealt with the Memorial Day Footage and the Skookum Bigfoot body casting. Our most requested back issue, by far, was our obiturary and send off to the late Rene Dahinden. One issue was devoted soley to his life and times.

I will be 45 on May 31st. Born May 31, 1963. Hard to believe how time marches on

My Best,

Daniel Perez,
editor/publisher: Bigfoot Times
