Upcoming Bigfoot Meet

BEACHFOOT 2010

LIVING LEGEND TOUR!

The legend lives on! This year marks the third installment of the BEACHFOOT summer lecture series. The original BEACHFOOT convened on July 26th of 2008 where 29 people came together for “an informal gathering of friends and fellow Bigfoot researchers to socialize, reminisce, theorize and generally discuss Bigfoot activity and research” in the temperate rain forest of the Oregon Coast Range near Lincoln City.

Last year’s event brought 53 participants including: Bob Gimlin, Robert Pyle, Peter Byrne, Thomas Steenburg, John Kirk III, Autumn Williams, Cliff Barackman, Bruce Harrington, John Cordell, Diane Stocking, Chris Murphy, Ron Morehead, Paul Graves, Craig Woolheater, Joe Beelart, Tom Yamarone, Sharon Lomurno, Todd Neiss and many other Bigfoot researchers and enthusiasts who gathered together for a weekend of camping, networking and socializing in a casual and relaxed setting. Informal talks were given by author Thomas Steenburg, retired police detective John Cordell, and Ron Morehead, producer of the famous “Sierra Sounds” recordings.

BEACHFOOT 2010 promises to be even bigger and better than ever! Nestled in the Tillamook Experimental Forest, the George R. Vogel Group Area is a private 5-acre campground providing the perfect setting for this special occasion. Located just 5 miles east of US Highway 101 on Slab Creek Road (Old Scenic Hwy 101), the site provides a beautiful park-like setting including a large fire pit surrounded by benches for late evening bonfires and music. Numerous private camp sites are scattered throughout the area. Portable toilets will be provided for your comfort and convenience. For those who prefer a less rustic experience, nearby Lincoln City offers plenty of alternate lodging options. This year’s guest speakers will be announced soon!

As with last year’s gathering, the cost for the event will be kept at a absolute minimum…just enough to cover expenses. The US Forest Service has placed the maximum site capacity to just 75 people, so please RSVP as soon as possible! Mark your calendars for August 6th – 8th and plan on a great time of fun and fellowship at BEACHFOOT 2010!
